Hi!
Thanks for dropping by!
I am a Product Design leader with nearly 20 years of experience, specializing in leading globally distributed teams through extreme technical ambiguity. My journey began at Pivotal Cloud Foundry, where
I learned that the most complex systems aren't built of code, they're built of people.
Today, I'm focused on the "Director-level" challenge: building the blocks of operational excellence. I don’t just improve how a team operates;
I define it.
My Leadership Philosophy
The most important thing to know about me is I believe that values
anchor decisions. If we aren’t aligned with our values, we won’t succeed in
any dimension over time. My approach is built on three pillars:
Strengths-Based Individualization
We are not all the same, and a one-size-fits-all management style is a failure of leadership. I prioritize individualization, edifying the unique motivations and strengths of every designer. I’ve found that when people lead from their strengths, they naturally move from "leading from behind" to stepping into the spotlight. When people lead from their strengths, high performance isn't a forced outcome—it's the natural byproduct.
Intentional Resilience
Evolving the concept of "failing forward" into a mandate for intentional resilience. I encourage teams to lean into doubt, converting it into the curiosity needed to make better decisions. I build high-performance muscles, establishing strong foundational habits that the team knows exactly what to do when time is short and the stakes are high.We don't just survive high-stress moments; we use them to adapt our training and build better systems for the future.
Architected Autonomy
The people closest to the problem are best equipped to solve it.My role is to architect the systems that allow design to scale; by defining our operational "blocks", from career growth frameworks to integrated EPD engagement models, I enable designers to move into high-value strategic partnership.Through providing the guardrails and sponsorship that foster radical autonomy, I can step back to let the team lead.

The Personal Side
When I’m not at work, my family and I are usually outside. Whether we’re rock climbing, river rafting, or mountain biking, I thrive on activity. And when we’re home? We’re probably building furniture or renovating a house.
I’ve spent my life in high-velocity environments, and I’ve learned that I’m at my best when my "hair is on fire."
I love thinking on my feet and the joy of solving a good problem.
